Bailey Australia was proud to be the official sponsor of the NSW Caravan Supershow.

The major prize provided by Bailey was a Unicorn Valencia.

The Supershow is held annually at Rosehill Racecourse and this year attracted almost 77,000 people over the nine days of the event.

The Supershow competition attracted over 18,000 entries with Newcastle’s, Don Way, the lucky winner of the first prize. Mr Way took delivery of his new caravan on Friday afternoon at Macquarie Caravans in Belmont.

Theo Whitmont, President of the Caravan and Camping Industry Association of NSW (CCIA) said that the Supershow is an important event on many Australian’s calendars each year.

“We were delighted that crowd numbers remained consistent with previous years and that consumer purchasing power was strong.”

“The Competition we conducted had six checkpoints throughout the Supershow that attendees needed to visit, it meant that participants didn’t miss a thing. And if that’s not enough they also had the chance to win themselves a brand new caravan,” said Mr Whitmont.

“Our Bailey caravans have been developed based on sixty five years of experience in caravan design. We call our new Unicorn Valencia the ‘Caravan of the Future’ because of its sleek space age design. Interest in our product at the Supershow was overwhelming.” said Mr Van Geelen.

The Bailey Unicorn Valencia, valued at $57,500, is packed with features including a vertical front skylight to create a perfect room with a view, central heating system, substantially larger water tank and refrigerator, stylish kitchen and a queen size bed with a large separate en suite.

First prize winner, Mr Way, said that he was surprised and excited to have won the major prize.

“My wife and I have been caravanning for around 15 years and have visited the Supershow for the last 5 years without fail. This year we visited the Supershow to win a tent, can’t believe we came away with a new caravan.”

“Now that we have a new caravan, my wife Denise and I are going to take a trip to Shoal Bay to the Blue Water Music festival in June,” said Mr Way.

Mr Whitmont added that whether Australian travellers enjoy camping or touring in a camper trailer, caravan or luxury motorhome, the Supershow has something for every lifestyle and budget.
